Café de Colombia is a protected geographical indication, which was officially recognized by the European Union on September 27, 2007. This name is given to The Colombian Coffee100% Arabica (coffea arabica) produced in the coffee growing regions of Colombia, delimited between latitude North 1° a 11°15, West longitude 72° a 78° and specific ranges of altitude that can exceed 2,000 meters above sea level.
The term Café de Colombia Colombian Coffee is also a registered certification mark in the United States on July 7, 1981, and in Canada on July 6, 1990.
